The operation of some telecommunications networks in France is affected this Monday by the cuts caused in the facilities in various parts of the country, the Government reported, in what is the second sabotage against French infrastructure since the Paris games began.
The Secretary of State for the Digital Economy, Marina Ferrariexplained in a message on his X account that the defects that were detected during the night of this Monday “have affected our telecommunications operators” and “have localized consequences in the Access to fiber, landline and mobile telephony“.
The France Info broadcaster has indicated that the affected departments are those of Hérault, Bouches-du-Rhône, Aude, Oise, Meuse and Dromewhich are spread over very remote parts of France. Ferrari, who has condemned “in the strongest terms” what he has described as “cowardly and irresponsible acts”, has pointed out that the Centre for Electronic Communications of Defence is cooperating with the operators to fully restore communications and services.
This new sabotage occurs days after the one perpetrated against the high-speed rail networkwhich has already resumed normal operations this Monday.
