The participation rate at noon of the first round of the Parliamentary election This Sunday in France has risen more than seven points compared to the elections two years ago, according to the first assessment of the Ministry of the Interior.
At 12:00, the provisional participation rate stands at 25.9 percent, compared to 18.4 percent two years ago at the same time. 7.5 percentage points more.
Voting day is going on without incident, with some of the most prominent candidates having already cast their ballot, such as the leader of the far-right National Group and the likely big winner of this election according to the polls, Jordan Bardellawho cast his ballot in Garches, Hauts-de-Seine.
Manuel Bompard, the national coordinator of the left-wing party La France Insoumise – a mainstay of the so-called New Popular Front, an alliance designed to combat the emergence of Bardella and his party – has also cast his ballot in Marseille.
