Foreign Minister González-Olaechea invokes constitutional mechanisms in Bolivia for social peace

Peruvian Foreign Minister Javier González-Olaechea called on the military in Bolivia to abandon all acts of force against the Government of Luis Arce and to activate the mechanisms provided for in its constitution, in order to preserve social peace.

He also stressed that Peru has already issued an official statement stating its position and rejecting any attempt to break the democratic order in the neighboring country, following instructions from the president. Dina Boluarte.

He specified that they became aware of the matter through the representation of Peru in the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) which takes place in Asunción (Paraguay), headed by the Minister of Justice, Eduardo Arana.

Finally, González-Olaechea He emphasized that Peru has mechanisms to act immediately in the event that a situation occurs in which the integrity of “Our compatriots who are in Bolivia”. He specified that the consular services and the embassy are already receiving the necessary instructions.
