On the night of June 3, 2017, a terrorist attack in London ended the life of eight people. Three jihadists in a van several pedestrians were run over on London Bridge and then headed towards the Borough Market, where they stabbed people who were in their path. Within minutes, the three attackers were killed by the London Police.

One of those missing in the attack was the Spanish Ignacio Echeverría, who faced the terrorists when they were stabbing a woman. The Spaniard hit one of the jihadists with the skateboard, allowing the woman to be saved and other people to escape from the terrorists.

On May 7, the London authorities confirmed to the family of Ignacio Echeverría the death of the Spaniard in the terrorist attack in London, after four days being in unknown location.
