Kremlin: White House wants to get rid of Trump for being a political rival

The Kremlin affirmed this Friday that the judicial process against former US President Donald Trump is an attempt by the White House to “get rid of a political rival.”

The court’s decision has yet to be announced, but if we talk about Trump in general, it is obvious that this is the elimination of a political rival by all legal and illegal means.”said Dmitri Peskov, spokesman for the Russian Presidency.

He added that he does not wish to comment on the process itself, but that Moscow does not like it when “People from outside comment on the decisions of their courts.”

Trump was found guilty this Thursday of 34 crimes in New York, which are based on a trail of checks, invoices for incorrect concepts and refunds to buy the silence of porn actress Stormy Daniels for a night in a Lake Tahoe suite.

The jury has found it proven beyond a reasonable doubt that the former president voluntarily and knowingly falsified the reimbursements to his then faithful collaborator and legal advisor Michael Cohen in the amount of US$420,000 (about 387,780 euros) with the intention of hide the payment to Daniels before the 2016 election, in exchange for keeping his secrets.

Trump himself declared “political prisoner” in a message to his followers and accused Justice of trying to interfere in future presidential elections in the country.
