The PP reorganizes its strategy for the european elections next June 9. They no longer only focus on the President of the Government Pedro Sánchez. Now they are clearly putting pressure on Vox to absorb their votes.

“What is the objective of Vox? To make things easier for the PSOE or to defend Spain? It is up to them if their campaign consists of disqualifying the PP,” the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, now asks.

Hours after those words, Feijóo moved the focus on Vox, placing it to the right of Meloni’s Italian far-right. “Meloni is pro-European and Abascal’s party is not”says Feijóo.

It is noted that the popular They harden their message, especially after the PP demonstration on Sunday. But the far-right party does not sit back and respond. “They have ended up dazed after the pilgrimage, after vegetating (…) We are neither anti-European nor Europhobic or anything like that,” accuses the leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal.

FAES, the foundation of former president José María Aznar, which is not exactly critical of Vox, is also added to the PP’s strategy. However, now it does. They charge forward to accuse Abascal of being Sánchez’s life insurance. A position that the far-right leader describes as “quite ridiculous.”

In the middle of the campaign for citizens to vote, Abascal and the PP point fingers at each other. But the popular ones assure that it is Vox who attacks them. And they repeat it ad nauseam.

Miguel Tellado, spokesperson for the PP in Congress, insists that “Vox is the wrong adversary”, while PP spokesperson Borja Sémper affirms that “Vox is more obsessed with the PP than against Pedro Sánchez.”

There are 10 days left to see if the strategy of putting pressure on Vox works for the PP.
