United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken He visited Kyiv this Tuesday by surprise in order to reaffirm US support for the country that has already more than two years of war after Russia invaded its territory. Beyond formalities, Blinken also wanted to enjoy life in the Ukrainian capital. After having pizza for dinner with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dymitro Kuleba, the American went to a live music venue called BarmanDictat.

Once there, and with clothes more comfortable than the suit he wore during the day, the secretary went on stage with the band ‘The 1999’ that was playing at that moment and got a guitar. After admitting that Ukraine was going through “a difficult time” since “its soldiers, its citizens, particularly in the northeast and in Kharkiv, are suffering tremendously”Blinken has reaffirmed that his country is with them.

Likewise, he followed this speech by giving a clue about what was going to happen next. “Much of the world is with you and is fighting not only for Ukraine, but for the free world,” Blinken said before addressing the musicians who accompanied him on stage at this bar in Kyiv to try to play ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ by Canadian artist Neil Young. And so it has been and this can be seen in the images that accompany these lines.
