The president also rejected the idea of ​​extending the certificate trading system to other industries – fuel, construction and agriculture. – The long-term financial consequences of expanding the emissions trading system would be simply disastrous for Poles, ours, and for the budgets of Polish families. Nobody in their right mind would take this into account – said Jarosław Kaczyński.

To indicate that “the European Commission is putting further proposals on the table – it wants ETSs for fuel, construction materials and possibly agriculture, and additionally has a plan to create its own fund and transfer most of these taxes to its account”, President PiS replied:
