Several countries have already designated the Revolutionary Guard, a branch of the Iranian Armed Forces created after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, as a terrorist group.
In 2019, the United States blacklisted the Revolutionary Guard of terrorist groups, while the Government of Canada said in January this year that it was studying ways to include the Revolutionary Guard on its list of terrorist organizations.
For its part, the European Union (EU) is currently studying new sanctions against Iran to contain its drone and missile programs, as announced on Sunday by the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
