The next few hours are decisive for the outcome of the conflict in the middle east after what Iran attacks Israelafter the Jewish state will attack the Iranian consulate in Damascus and will end the life of seven important members of his Foreign Revolutionary Guard. What happens after these events, is in the hands of three figures which may not be known, but are very relevant.

Is about Hossein SalamiIranian military officer and head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Yoav Gallant, Minister of Defense of Israel, and Lloyd Austin, United States Secretary of Defense. After the Iranian attack, the first to react in front of the cameras was Salamí, who assured that “Iran would retaliate if the Zionist regime” attacks their interests. The man who represents the hardest lines of the Islamic Republic of Iran spoke with this fortitude.

Since he was young he was already involved in the army, in the war against Iraq and for five years he has been the leader of the Revolutionary Guard, the group in charge of repression inside the country and war matters outside. Among other tasks, Salamí leads hostilities against the enemies of Tehran: Saudi Arabia, the United States and Israel.

Precisely, now the ball is now in Israel’s court, from where a new attack is considered as a reply. An assessment that goes largely through the hands of Yoav Gallant, the scourge of Hamas for more than a decade and yet one of the most temperate members of Benjamin Netanyahu’s ultra cabinet.

However, Gallant considers that it is a good opportunity to return it to the ayatollahs in the face of the “serious threat from Iran” in the face of which it is necessary “establish a strategic alliance against this serious threat from Iran.” An action that they could not carry out alone, which is why their great ally comes into the picture: the United States.

Lloyd Austin, US secretary of defense, and therefore, key man in the Pentagon, has extensive knowledge of the Middle East, since he was in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Until now, he has supported Israel and assures that they will continue to do so, although for now clarifies that they would not participate in a response against Iran.
