The European Commission has started a written procedure finally approving the payment of the first tranche of money from the National Reconstruction Plan to Poland. It’s about 6 billion 300 million euros.

Representatives of EU countries gave the green light for the payment of money. The procedure regarding the KPO for Poland is scheduled to last until 3 p.m.

The European Commission gave preliminary consent at the end of February, but for the money to flow to Poland, all procedures must be finalized. It is about a payment of EUR 6 billion 300 million.

The first tranche of money from KPO in the middle of the month

It is expected that the first tranche of EU funds under the KPO will be transferred to Poland in mid-month. that the EU Financial and Economic Committee has finally approved the European Commission’s decision to pay Poland money from the National Reconstruction Plan. Let us recall that at the end of February, the European Commission agreed to unlock a total of EUR 237 billion. This includes, among others: funds under the KPO.

What will the funds from the National Reconstruction Plan be used for?

The head of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy spoke in December about what projects the KPO funds will be allocated to first. – The first one will be to eliminate “white spots” in access to broadband Internet, i.e. providing it in places where it is not profitable to build connections on a commercial basis. Thanks to this program, almost 1 million households will receive access to broadband Internet. After implementing this program, it will be possible to say that there will be no more “white spots”, emphasized Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. In addition, money under the KPO is to be invested in thermal modernization of multi-family buildings and an additional benefit for parents who want to go to work and leave their child under care, i.e. the so-called grandma’s. About the fact that this one . – Poland is doing everything to use all the money available in the National Reconstruction Plan, i.e. almost EUR 60 billion – assured Finance Minister Andrzej Domański in Brussels in March. The deadline for spending EU money expires at the end of 2026.
