The presidential candidate of the Mexican ruling party, Claudia Sheinbaummaintains an advantage of 17 percentage points after a month of campaigns leading up to the June 2 elections, as revealed this Monday by an El Financiero survey.
In the measurement carried out in March, the preferences of Sheinbaum, of the Let’s Keep Making History coalition, climbed one percentage point to 51%.
While the voting intention of his main rival, Xóchitl Gálvez of the opposition alliance Fuerza y Corazón Por México, also rose one percentage point to a 3. 4% of voting intention.

The survey also found that 41% of voters consider crime and insecurity as the “most urgent issue”, the 31% the economy and jobs, and the 13% corruption and transparency.
The survey was conducted by telephone with 1,200 adults on March 9, 10, 15, 16, 21 and 23, with a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 2.8%.
