The tension was palpable at all times at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris (France). In the moments before the fight there are struggles, pushing and, immediately, kicking by the protesters at the security workers. These, alarmed, try to stop the advance of the activists, but his aggressiveness gets worse: The beatings do not stop and they end up bypassing the security checkpoint.

The dividing posts become bats in this massive fight. A fight that moved from the airport police station to Terminal 1, and in which at least three officers have been injured in these riots that have involved several dozen people. Protesters gathered at the airport to try to stop the deportation of the young Kurdish man Firaz Korkmaz24 years old.

He was arrested in February for participating in a pro-Kurdish demonstration. Specifically, at a rally demanding information about the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, imprisoned for 25 years. Since his arrest, Korkmaz had been held in an administrative detention center in Metz before a decision was made to deport him to Turkey. There they accuse him of belonging to a terrorist group.

For this reason, its defenders have tried to stop its departure from France. According to the Kurdish Democratic Council in France, Firaz Korkmaz he risked being imprisoned and tortured in Türkiye. They claim that Korkmaz is only an activist for the rights of the Kurdish people. But not even this brutal fight has managed to stop him. The young man is already in Türkiye, but it is unknown in what state.
