Given the controversy raised by the photograph that he shared with his children for Mother’s Day, which was celebrated this Sunday in the United Kingdom, Kate Middleton ended up apologizing for the retouching of the image, which several agencies have even removed due to suspicions that it was manipulated.

“Like many amateur photographers, sometimes I experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion caused by the family photograph that we shared yesterday,” the Princess of Wales apologized through the social network ‘X’ this Monday. “I hope that everyone who celebrated had a very happy Mother’s Day,” the post concludes, signed with the C for Catherine, in the official account of the princes of Wales.

The image in question is the first that Kensington Palace has released since the abdominal operation that Kate underwent almost two months ago. However, the retouching of it has triggered the speculation about health of the princess, who has not been seen in public since undergoing surgery on January 16 for reasons that have not been disclosed.

According to sources from the British Royal Family cited by Efe, Kate made “small touch-ups” on the photo, originally taken by Prince Williamearly last week at her residence in Windsor: in it, the Princess of Wales appears sitting outdoors surrounded by her three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, standing at her sides.

Several International graphic agencies removed the image of their services for the alleged digital manipulation of the photograph, released this Sunday on the occasion of Mother’s Day, along with the following message from Kate: “Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. I wish you all a Happy Mother’s Day. C”. The photo is still posted on the Instagram and X accounts of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
