Israeli revenge does not let up and now has claimed more than 30,000 lives Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. According to the latest report from the enclave authorities, controlled by Hamas, the dead are at least 30,035 and the injured are 70,457, while thousands of people remain missing.

A shocking number of lives cut short which multiplies by 25 the number of Israelis killed in the attacks of October 7 and is practically equivalent to the entire population of the Valencian town of Xátiva. Behind this macabre counter there is above all women, boys and girlswhich account for three quarters of the victims, and entire families annihilated, surnames erased and lineages extinct.

Those who still survive are consumed by the hunger and diseases. The Israeli siege reduces the arrival of aid to a minimum: Food and water enter the Strip with a dropper and in the midst of desperation, attacks occur like the one perpetrated this Thursday, which has killed a hundred people in the food deliveries themselves.

Even the United States, Israel’s most faithful ally, is considering joining in by dropping aid from the air. A pyrrhic patch for those whose incessant attacks rob them of their past life, plunge them into an agonizing present and condemn their future. This, at a time when it is feared that the Israelis will imminently bring all this destruction to neighboring Lebanon with another bloody ground offensive.
