Jesse Baird and your partner, Luke Davieswere murdered last Monday, February 19, at the hands of a high-ranking police officer. It took four days for his police colleagues to confess where he had buried the body of the journalist and his partner.

Baird was one of the most popular and charismatic young faces on Australian television. At 26 years old, she had found love with Luke, a flight attendant. The last she saw of them was at a concert. Shortly after, they were victims of a sordid murder at the hands of a high-ranking police officer, a fleeting -and jilted- lover of the presenter.

On the 16th, Agent Beau Lamarre took a service weapon from the police station under a false pretext. On Monday the 19th, the couple’s neighbors heard gunshots at his house, but did not report it. That day, Lamarre rents a van with which he would dispose of the bodies. On Wednesday the 21st, bloody belongings of those murdered were found in a garbage container.

Two days later, the agent surrendered, but did not reveal the location of the bodies until this Wednesday, when he also confessed that his target was the presenter, being ‘forced’ to kill both. The authorities admit failures in the custody of weapons and advance that they are going to fire him from the force.
