Pressure mounts on Boris Johnson after leaking another photo drinking wine and eating pizza in full confinement

Increases pressure against the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, after The Guardian newspaper published this Saturday a photo of the premier at a celebration with a dozen people in the garden of his official Downing Street residence in May 2020, in the middle of strict confinement in the country by COVID-19.

According to the newspaper, The photo was taken in May 2020, shortly after Johnson left the hospital after being admitted to the ICU with COVID-19. In addition to the prime minister, there are several collaborators and his wife, Carrie, who is carrying their newborn son. In the photo it looks like they eat cheese and drink wine.

Asked about it, a government spokesman pointed out that “Work meetings” in the garden of the official residence, where they would have had wine and pizzas. According to Reuters, the same day that the celebration would have taken place – May 15 -, the then Minister of Health, Matt Hancock, recommended that citizens not take advantage of the good weather to socialize with other people to avoid contagion.
