He President of Venezuela, Nicolás Madurolaunched this Friday a “ambitious” program to support millions of young people in the country, which includes more than twenty projects focused on various areas, including health, education and work.
This is the so-called ‘Great Young Venezuela Mission’ – created after “a long consultation” -, which will serve, in a first stage, some 5.3 million young people between the ages of 18 and 30, indicated the head of state during an event held in Caracas, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the arrival of the chavismo to power, broadcast on the state channel VTV.
“Is he program towards the most ambitious and most powerful youth that has ever been made in Venezuela and in many places in the world“said the president, who maintained that the objective will be”provide the highest level of protection and social security to youth”.
The head of the mission, the official representative Génesis Garvett, explained that, in the area of education, they propose the creation of institutes of gastronomy, fashion, languages and “digital trades“, among them “content creation” and those related to artificial intelligence.
There is also a plan to support young people in the “completion of studies at all levels of education“, While in the Laboral sectorthe mission will support entrepreneurs with financing and an internship system will be established, according to a note from the Presidency’s press team.
On the other hand, in area of healthfood consumption will be promoted “healthy, safe, tasty and sovereign” and work will be done to prevent addictions, while at the same time 335 “friendship groups” throughout the country for “accompany those experiencing mental health problems”.
Likewise, it will provide a sex education and reproductive responsible and will be activated “plans aimed at reducing teenage pregnancies” and sexually transmitted infections.
The mission also contemplates the delivery of 200,000 homes to young couples and 75,000 credits for construction, as well as the activation of a “real estate policy to facilitate the rental, at reasonable prices, of 50,000 homes“, according to presidential press.
Garvett noted that the program also includes projects in areas such as science, technology, production, culture, recreation, sports and communication.
For its part, Ripe expressed his Government’s willingness to give young people the necessary tools so that “take political, cultural, social, economic, territorial and military power” of the nation.
