The Civil Police of Sao Paulo (Brazil) investigates starting this Wednesday, January 31, ldeath of a 19-year-old girl after a sexual encounterwith a footballer from the Corinthians under-20 teamthe second most popular club in Brazil.

As reported in a statement by the Public Security Secretariat of Sao Paulo, the young woman was admitted on Tuesday night to the Municipal Hospital of Tatuapé San Paulo with a bleeding in the genitals and died after suffering four cardiorespiratory arrests.

It was the hospital itself that alerted the Police as it considered the circumstances suspicious. Thus, the Fifth Women’s Defense Police Station of the Sao Paulo Civil Police assumed the investigation of the case, which was registered as a “suspicious death”.

It was the footballer who called the emergency services

Soccer player Dimas Cándido de Oliveira Filho, 18, stated that he himself called the emergency services after the young woman fainted after a consensual sexual relationship between both and realizing that he had bleeding in his private parts.

According to the police, the young woman had a first cardiorespiratory arrest at the soccer player’s residence, another two in the ambulance in which she was transferred and a last one at the hospital, where she arrived with severe vaginal bleeding.

In his statements to the police, De Oliveira assured that he met the young woman about a month ago on a social network and that, after several dates, they had their first intimate meeting on Tuesday. Her lawyer, Tiago Lenoir, assured that the Corinthians player offered first aid, called an ambulance and accompanied the young woman to the hospital.

They did not take alcohol or other drugs,

According to the defender, the young man assures that he did not commit any crime; that the sexual relationship was consensual; that they did not drink alcoholic beverages or use drugs; who used a condom and that they did not use any type of object in the meeting.

“He testified as a witness. They asked him to give statements, he did and was released. We are waiting for the result of the autopsy to know the cause of death, but there is nothing to indicate that it was a crime,” the defender assured.

For its part, Corinthians, in a statement, said it had been informed about what happened and that awaits the results of the investigationsalso ensuring that he is available to collaborate with the authorities and offer support to his player and the family of the deceased young woman.
