The city of Miami Beachin the Floridawas recently recognized with the ‘World’s Leading Lifestyle Destination 2023’ award, which it awards annually The World Travel Awards, for its wide variety of museums and art galleries, spas, culinary offerings, luxury hotels and coasts.
This is the sixth consecutive year that Miami Beach has taken the top honor in the World Travel Awards category.
In 2023, Miami Beach, which welcomed some 26.5 million domestic and foreign visitors, earned top titles as a top destination, including ‘World’s Leading Lifestyle Destination,’ marking a year of worldwide recognition.
“This award reaffirms that Miami Beach remains one of America’s most iconic and family-friendly resort cities, with pristine beaches, one-of-a-kind art deco buildings, and a multitude of world-class arts and culture and hospitality offerings,” the city’s mayor said in a statement.
The island city also won the awards “Leading beach destination in North America 2023” and “Leading destination city in North America 2023”, according to The World Travel Awards website.
Grisette Marcos, executive director of the Miami Beach Convention and Visitors Authority (MBVCA), highlighted to Breaking Travel News that the coastal city has continued “advancing as a destination leader” and that the organization works to “showcase the best attributes of the city with resources and experiences” of all kinds, to “connect with regular and future visitors.”
The tourist city is home to Art Basel Miami, the largest art event on the American continent, and has seen the opening of numerous galleries and museums in recent years.
