Criminals enter the University of Guayaquil and try to kidnap people

The University of Guayaquil Ecuador reported that the suspension of his academic activities, after armed individuals entered their facilities and threatened to take students and teachers hostage.

Videos taken from the school campus were shared on social networks. In these you can see students running trying to take shelter, after allegedly armed men entered and tried to kidnap them.

Additionally, in another video you can see how students and teachers They blocked doors and took refuge inside a classroom, with the aim of not being stolen by the alleged criminals.

“Given the moments of social unrest that are being experienced in the country, we inform the university community that all academic and administrative activities are suspended in all areas of the University of Guayaquil, the teleworking system will be implemented,” The university reported on its social networks, without giving more details.

Other educational centers as well as some State institutions are on alert due to the violent acts recorded this Tuesday in the city of Guayaquil.

Hooded armed men entered the TC television channel this Tuesday, in the city of Guayaquil in southwestern Ecuador, and subdued its staff during a live broadcast.
