The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petroinvited this Monday the Puerto Rican singer Resident to participate in a “great concert against genocide” in Bogotá Palestinianfrom which he hopes that “a cry of humanity against infamy” will come out.
“I would like René and everyone who wants to use art to criticize the genocide against the Palestinian people to join me in the Plaza de Bolívar or in the Simón Bolívar Park in Bogotá in a great concert against genocide and for life”expressed the president on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
Petro’s message comes in response to a publication in which Residente, stage name of René Pérez Joglar, denounced the attacks in Palestine.
“Let a cry of humanity against infamy come out of Bogotá. And from there we went to Medellinto Cali already Barranquilla and the regions of Colombia (from where) came out in caravans to find us in the middle of art and music to come together to shout enough, stop the killing, Mr. Matanza!“added the president, who is a defender of the Palestinian cause.
