They investigate possible poisoning of 700 people at the Airbus plant in France

The French health authorities are investigating a possible massive but mild poisoning, with about 700 affected, which took place in a production center of Airbuslocal media reported this Sunday.

The Regional Health Agency of the Pays de la Loire region and the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Persons (DDPP) are in charge of this investigation.

Suspicions center on the food Christmas on the 14th or in the canteen service the following day. Between the 15th and 16th, some 700 workers showed symptoms such as diarrhea or vomiting.

The symptoms were sudden but there were no serious cases or hospitalizations, a factory spokeswoman told local press.

However, the regional newspaper Ouest France reported stronger symptoms in some cases, as several workers had to be in bed for several days.

On the 14th, a gastronomic meal was served by Christmaswhich brought together about 2,600 people.

Those affected are workers of the Airbus plant in the town of Montoir de Bretagne (west), dedicated to the production of airplane fuselages sections that are then sent to the company’s assembly lines in France, Germany, the United States and China.
