The airline Iberia will operate a total of three direct flights between Madrid and the international airport Narita (Tokyo) from October 27th next year, which will mean the only direct connection between Spain and Japan. As the company announced this Monday, during the next winter season, the airline will offer more than 45,000 seats between both countries.

The operating schedules also allow connection with the 140 destinations to which the Iberia Group flies. Tickets are now on sale on the company’s website from 931 euros round trip. Iberia will fly again to Tokyo airport directly from Madrid at the end of October next year, coinciding with the beginning of the next winter season.

From then on, the airline will offer three weekly flights continuously throughout the year on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from Madrid, and on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays from Tokyo. Due to the closure of Russian airspace, the route to Tokyo has been adjusted.

A historic route
