By 2022, several countries in South America have announced an increase in the basic monthly salary in the first signs of economic recovery during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Ecuador, on Monday night, President Guillermo Lasso announced that in the country there will be an increase of around 6%, that is, of 25 dollars, still one of the highest in the region with 425 dollars.

The Minister of Labor, Patricio Donoso, announced that sector salaries will be defined on December 22.

Because the countries handle their own currency, the equivalence in relation to this currency may vary daily.

Argentina

Current salary: 31,938 Argentine pesos (313.97 dollars)

Chile
