Petroecuador exceeded 411,000 barrels per day of crude oil and gas

The public company of Petroleum of Ecuador, Petroecuadorreported that this Sunday it exceeded 411,000 barrels of oil equivalent (raw and gas).

“Thanks to successful planning and the commitment of all workers, we have achieved this day, 401,863 barrels of oil and a consolidated 411,071 including gas,” said the acting general manager of Petroecuador, Reinaldo Armijos del Hierro.

On Saturday, production also increased and was 402,068 barrels of oil and added 411,281 barrels equivalent per day.

Petroecuador recalled in a statement that it had not exceeded 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day since January 2021.

Production has increased gradually and sustainably, with the company’s most productive field being Sacha, located in Orellana, whose production reached 78,259 barrels.

Other important fields are Auca, which to date places its production at 77,512 barrels and the area made up of Apaika, Edén and ITT, in Orellana, with 91,852 barrels per day.

Petroecuador manages 25 oil blocks, 22 in the Amazon and three in the Litoral and produces around 80% of Ecuador’s oil.

Oil is one of Ecuador’s main export products and its income is a fundamental pillar for the general budget of the State.
