Former police officer Derek Chauvin, convicted ofdeath of George Floyd in the state of Minneapolis, United States, was stabbed this Friday at the Federal Correctional Institute in the city of Tucson. Chauvin is in stable condition.

Chauvin is currently simultaneously serving a 22 year sentence and a half in prison for murder in the second and third degree and another of more than 20 years for violating the federal civil rights of George Floyd when he pressed his knee on the African-American citizen’s neck for more than nine minutes, causing death.
