A forced exodus, bombings in areas full of civilians and the blockade are the signs most brutal of the repression suffered by Palestinians in Gaza. But also outside the Strip, in the West Bank or in Israel itself, where Palestinians are detained for a simple WhatsApp status.

This is the case of a Palestinian-Israeli woman who has been arrested, but does not know why they want to detain her. “You are detained for disseminating publications in support of terrorist acts,” the Israeli Police warns her. She, surprised, answers “no” and, through tears, tries to defend herself against her, without success. “Impossible. I say may God grant victory to Israel. “I swear!” the woman argues.

Both she and her husband are detained and accused of terrorism. She is the persecution suffered by the Palestinian population at the hands of Israeli forceswhich also goes through constants house demolitionsfor example, in the West Bank, leaving entire families on the streets because one or more of their members are considered terrorists.

They are actions supported by the tightening of the Israeli anti-terrorist law approved by the Israeli Parliament, which allows, among other things, arbitrary detentions. These, in the last few hours, have claimed the lives of 18 people: the deadliest day since 2002 in the West Bank.

Without forgetting the alleged war crimes that Gazans are suffering. Up to ten people died in their families, and obvious cases of deportation, forced transfer, torture, arbitrary detention. The list of crimes committed is immense. For this reason, those who have managed to leave Gaza are mobilizing for justice to be done.

“If the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court I would have acted two years agofour years ago, six years ago, we would not be attending the massacres which we are attending today. So by acting today what we also do is prevent the massacres of tomorrow,” Juan Branco, a lawyer who defends cases of Gazans with dual nationality, told laSexta. We must act today to prevent more massacres in the future in which, Amnesty denounces Internationally, detainees are tortured and subjected to inhuman treatment.
