Israel has intensified the night from this Sunday to Monday their attacks on Gazahitting 320 targets. This is an attack without origins that, according to Palestinian medical sources, at least 436 people have died, including 183 are childrendue to the bombings by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out this Sunday against the Gaza Strip.

The figure has risen to at least 5,087 Palestinians killed in the Strip by Israeli bombings in retaliation for the Hamas attack. Among the dead, There are 2,055 children and 1,119 women, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. Of the total number of deaths, 40% are children and 22% are women or elderly. These figures are also added to the 15,273 people who had to receive medical care in the Palestinian enclave since the beginning of the war with Israel.

As reported this Monday by the Health Spokesperson in Gaza, Ashraf al Qudra, the Israeli bombings of the last few hours left 436 new dead, most of them in the southern area of the Strip. For its part, the Israeli Army announced this Monday that during the last 24 hours it attacked more than 320 Hamas targets and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group. In addition, the Army has reported that its troops had also attacked militiamen from within the enclave, in an area adjacent to the dividing fence in which they have been operating for days.

The spokesperson for the Gaza Ministry of Health has indicated that the authorities have been alerted about the possible presence of 1,500 people under the rubble caused by the Israeli airstrikes, and has highlighted that the list of deaths in the Strip includes at least 57 members of the medical staff. Since the beginning of the war, tension has also intensified in the occupied West Bank, where at least 95 Palestinians have lost their lives in clashes with Israeli forces and settlers in the area.

Residential buildings and hospitals

After a new day of attacks, the IDF has continued attacking the enclave throughout the night and, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, the Israeli forces have committed 25 massacres after shooting at residential buildings. Thus, Israeli artillery and aviation have had as their main objectives the northern area of the Strip, such as Jabalia and Beit Lahia, although they have also attacked Khan Yunis and Rafá, in the south.

The IDF has asked the local population to evacuate the northern area to intensify its bombing campaign, a demand criticized by the UN and various NGOs given the enormous difficulty in carrying out these transfers between air attacks, which adds to the impossibility of transferring the wounded and sick, among others. Furthermore, the Israeli Army has bombed the surroundings of the hospital Al Shifa, in the center of Gaza City, as well as that of the Al Quds hospital, in the west; Israel has issued warnings on numerous occasions to evacuate health centers under threat of bombing them.

According to sources from the Palestinian Ministry of Health consulted by the aforementioned agency, this is a strategy whose objective ands put even greater pressure on the Gazan healthcare system, which is practically collapsed, a situation that can be aggravated by the lack of fuel in hospitals. The same ministry has assured that the medical situation in the area is “at its worst” due to the large number of deaths and injuries within them. Furthermore, he explained that Israeli attacks have “wiped entire neighborhoods off the map” and that entire families “have been completely eliminated” in several cities.
