The American hotel chain Choice Hotels International This Tuesday it presented an offer of almost US$ 10,000 million to buy its competitor Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, which recently ended the negotiations that began six months ago between both companies.
The group that owns the Radisson Blu, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Sleep Inn and Econolodge hotels offers US$ 90 per share to take over Wyndham, present in 95 countries and owner of the Ramada, Super 8, Days Inn, La Quinta and Travelodge.
“Choice publishes this latest offer following Wyndham’s decision to interrupt talks with Choice, after almost six months of dialogue,” explained the offering company in a statement.
According to its website, Choice controls 22 brands in 45 countries.
The total value of the operation that Choice intends amounts to US$ 9.8 billion, including Wyndham’s liabilities.
