Bombs kill children. They, innocent ones, those who do not even know what war is, are also being murdered. Without knowing how to walk, almost without knowing how to sit, they sob with their bodies full of dust. With gray-dyed clothes next to a wall with a children’s drawing that, in this situation, is offensive.

Because Gaza is, right now, just a cemetery. Literally. Where they are buried in common graves almost on a piece-rate basis. But there are so many dead that, as the UN has confessed, there aren’t even enough bags in which to put the corpses and look into the abyss. Hospitals, without electricity, Without water, without medicine, they are purgatories. Closer, of course, to hell. From which no one is free.

A doctor was called to identify, among the dead, his own daughter. She kisses her and then covers her with a blanket. The same thing has happened to the companion in whom he seeks comfort: he too has just discovered that he has lost one of his children.

It’s dantesque. What justification can there be for this? When lives count so little. When stories like these do not serve to stop a war that rages with the weakest. With those who have nothing, except the ability to still have everything taken away from them.
