The German Minister of the Interior, Nancy Faeserbanned today far-right, neo-Nazi, racist, xenophobic and anti-Semitic organization “Artgemeinschaft“(“Racial community”), including all its suborganizations. Police This morning it registered 26 homes of 39 membersas well as association premises in the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Brandenburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia. During the searches, cash and gold were confiscated, weapons permits were withdrawn, and firearms were seized.
“With ‘Artgemeinschaft’ we prohibit a sectarian, deeply racist and anti-Semitic association. This is another hard blow against right-wing extremism and against the intellectual arsonists who spread Nazi ideologies to this day,” the minister said in a statement. She added that this far-right group “has tried to form new enemies of the Constitution through the repulsive indoctrination of children and young people.”
He noted that the organization, which is interconnected with many far-right groups and new right, “combines various currents of the extreme right and, therefore, represents in a special way a threat to the liberal democratic order.” The group, whose full name is “Die Artgemeinschaft – Germanische Glaubens-Gemeinschaft wesensgemäßer Lebensgestaltung”, has around 150 members.
Under the guise of a pseudo-religious faith in the Germanic gods, the “Artgemeinschaft” spread his vision of the world that violated human dignity, the statement states. The central objective was the preservation and promotion of one’s own “species”, which can be equated with the National Socialist term “race”. For the indoctrination of children and young people, it used literature, partly from the times of National Socialism, only slightly modified.
The ideologization, radicalization and recruitment for the organization with extreme right-wing ideas was carried out through the management of the association’s own “book service”, an internet portal and presence on social networks. According to Faeser, the organization’s indoctrination activities – especially with children – make it at least as dangerous to the constitutional order as the neo-Nazi group “Hammerkinns” that had been banned last week.
The organization instructed its members about “marital choice” within the “northern European human species” to transmit the “genetic inheritance” that is considered correct within the organization. The ban, according to a Ministry statement, was a year in the making, as was Hammerkinns. The organization provided its ideological foundations to other far-right groups such as “Sturm-Wolfsbrigade 44 or Heimattreuen Deutsche Jugend, which had already been banned and whose members had found shelter in the Artgemeinschaft.
