The price of dollar in Mexico operates in the early hours of Wednesday on the rise, in a light day in economic data but with the caution of the agents one day after the inflation figure of USA of August.
The exchange rate is quoted at 17,228 pesos per dollar, according to data from the Bloomberg agency.
According to the ECLAC (Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean), the Mexican economy would be one of those that will close 2023 with greater growth than GDP.
Mexico would register an expansion of 2.9%, while the region will grow on average 1.7%.
The projection has been revised upwards because the economy has shown positive numbers, above expectations.

The currencies of Latin America fell the day before, in a light day in economic data but with the caution of the agents one day after the inflation figure of USA of August.
Price data will be key for monetary policy decisions by the Fed next week.
“The deterioration of raw materials, with the exception of some such as oil, which shows progress and threatens to signal prospects for higher inflation worldwide in the short term, weighs down the performance of Latin American currencies that face processes of neutrality and flexibility in their interest rates,” said Renato Campos, market analyst at Hantec Markets.
