A new witness in the judicial process that is being carried out in New York against Ghislaine Maxwell, ex-partner Jeffrey Epstein, stated that when she was only 14 years old, she was contacted to give the billionaire massages, which usually ended in sex.
On the seventh day of the trial in Manhattan federal court against the daughter of British magnate Robert Maxwell, a third woman identified only by the pseudonym “Carolyn”, testified that, between the ages of 14 and 18, she was brought more than 100 times to Epstein’s residence in Palm Beach, Florida.
The witness said that usually, at the end of each encounter with Epstein, received $ 300 from Maxwell, who pleaded “not guilty” to six counts of seducing and transporting minors for sexual purposes.
The 59-year-old defendant, a very popular figure in the British jet-set, and with triple French, British and American nationality, has appeared in court since November 29 for facilitating Epstein minors to sexual exploitation.
“Every time something sexual happened,” said “Carolyn” with a trembling voice before the jury, also admitting difficulties within her family and drug problems.
The witness evoked in her statement a difficult childhood: “My mother was an alcoholic and addicted to drugs,” she added.
Contrary to the two previous testimony at trial, Carolyn did not name Maxwell as the person who first brought her to Epstein’s home.
Instead, he pointed to another woman who is not participating in this court hearing, Virginie Giuffre, who denounced this year in New York to British Prince Andrew, an acquaintance of Epstein and Maxwell, whom he accuses of sexual assault when she was a minor more than 20 years ago.
“Virginie asked me if I wanted to make money (…) I was going to meet his rich friend ”to give him a massage, he declared.
In the Florida home of millionaire Epstein, sexual encounters always took place under the same script: “We were greeted by Mrs. Maxwell, who was older (than us), with black hair (…) we went up to the bathroom” where there was a massage table, Carolyn revealed, adding that she remembered that Epstein brushed his teeth before meeting her and with Guiffre.
It is the third testimony during the trial that adds to that of “Jane” and “Kate” who at that time were 14 and 17 years old respectively, and who have revealed the active role of Maxwell in the millionaire’s sexual encounters with minors.
