The prison director, Watcharapong Boonsaior, had previously confirmed to EFE that the young man finished the quarantine today and “will meet with staff from the Spanish Embassy and his family soon.”

Until now they could only meet him his lawyers and prison staff. Watcharapong Boonsaior himself has claimed to have been with him these days. “I have often come to see him and he is fine, he has no problem,” he told EFE.

The Police accuse Sancho, 29 years old and who confessed to the crime, of “premeditated murder” of Arrieta, 44, to whom he affirms that stabbed in the chest during a fight, although the autopsy of the victim is yet to be known.

Sancho and Arrieta, who met last year through Instagram, had met in Koh Phangan, an island near Koh Samui, on August 2, the day the surgeon was murdered and dismembered, whose remains have been found in various locations of the island, including the sea.
