With the financial support of United States to Peru, the quality of life in different regions has been improved. During the framework of Donation Agreement 527-0427, both governments agreed that there will be an increase of US$92.5 million for cooperation projects during the 2023-2024 period, for a total of US$202.9 million.
This collaboration aims to advance priority issues on the bilateral agenda, which include progress in the social and economic sphere, the sustainable management of natural resourcesthe fight against environmental crimes, corruption and illicit drug trafficking, as well as the socioeconomic integration of the migrant and refugee population.
The cooperation coming from USA had a positive impact on the Peru, has contributed to improving the living conditions of more than 87,000 rural families, whose income increased by 97.5% thanks to improvements in the quality of coffee and cocoa crops. Gaps were also broken technologymanaging to promote internet access in rural areas for the benefit of 117 communities.

Thanks to the financial support of USA, the administration of natural resources was strengthened. This resulted in an improvement in the management of 2 million hectares of forests by the year 2022. In addition, training was provided to members of native communities and public officials, generating a reduction in gas emissions greenhouse effect.
Regarding the socioeconomic integration of the migrant population in Peru, during the year 2022, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) provided support to 8,981 people. This enabled them to improve their employment prospects and strengthen their abilities to start or improve their own businesses.
