Completely dyed red. This is what the sky looked like tonight from the Palermo airport, closed until this morning. In the height of the tourist season, the fire has paralyzed the Sicilian city.

In all, 120 families have had to leave their homes amid a landscape of smoke and flames, at the expense of the firefighters’ ability to contain the fire and save the island.

Meanwhile, the Greek Rhodes continues to burn. The south of the island has become a red horizon that threatens the town of Vati. There, the flames forced a Greek television team that was covering the fire to flee.

The fire has also broken into the holidays of tourists in Croatia with a bang. Some have even been caught in their swimwear.

In Türkiye the flames have arrived near a resort in the province of Antaya. 120 hectares have already burned and a hospital and twelve houses have had to be evacuated.

An increasingly hot and black Mediterranean, a direct consequence of record temperatures that exceed 40 degrees.
