They rape them and, as if that were not enough, a mob of men exhibits naked on the street. They denigrate them, grabbing them by the breasts and even slap in the face to one of them, which also they grope the pubis.
An image that has outraged the India and which they have wanted to turn around, in cartoons in which they show their support for the victims, representing them as a Hindu goddess.
And in the streets, dozens of women they cry out for justice. With banners and posters they ask them to stop torture them and they recriminate the inaction of Prime Minister Modi, who after social pressure has been forced to speak out. He says that these insults are an insult to India, “and that it is about a shameful incident for any civilized society.”
So far there are three detainees, including the main suspect in incite a crowd to rape them. And they investigate another thirty men as possible involved in these sexual assaults.
The images have now gone viral, but this atrocity took place two months ago in the middle of the ethnic conflict that the region of Manipur suffers where, once again, the body of women is used as a battlefield.
