WomanGoal is born, the platform that promotes women’s football

WomanGoal, the new platform that globally exposes the Women’s Footballincluding its brands, clubs and organizations, will boost this segment by attracting sports talent at zero cost and will select 28 players from the five continents in 17 countries, the sports investment and innovation company T3N Sport & Investment announced on Tuesday.

David Pampliega and Kiyomi Cerezo, founders of T3N Sport and Investment, agreed that “This new project is of great value for the teams because it will enable them to find sports talent at no cost for the F League and First Federation clubs, responding in a personalized way to the sports needs of each club.”

Starting from a global draft, they will look for the best players in the world over the age of 17. WomanGoal will bet on attracting talent, will create soccer players from a 360 perspective, will support the construction of business, audience and professionalization of women’s soccer worldwide.

The number of licenses in Spain has multiplied in recent years, going from 44,123 in 2016 to 87,827 in 2022. The Women’s World Cup begins next July 20 in Australia and New Zealand, which will be the largest World Cup event in history and is estimated to have 2 billion viewers, according to data from WomanGoal.

Martina Olivas, CoFounder & CEO, pointed out today that the mission of the new platform “It is to make each player who is part of the WomanGoal community grow professionally and personally. We are a company that was created to help all women’s soccer entities. We are not just a competition, we are a support. Among all of us, we have to make football a real profession with a future for all women”.

With extensive experience in women’s football, Olivas, who was responsible for women’s football in LaLiga, coordinator of the Liga Global Network in America, attached to the International Business Development Department and the youngest woman to join the LaLiga Management Committee, has highlighted that “We are going to give visibility to women’s soccer by creating a national and international audience for all women’s soccer teams as well as bringing us closer to the Z and Alpha generations.”

Along with Martina Olivas will be Javier del Río, an expert in innovation and brand building. From August to November, the team in charge of the project will tour the five continents looking for the best multicultural female sports talent.

Once 28 players have been selected, a second two-day draft will take place in Spain, where all the sports directors of the women’s soccer clubs will be able to personally meet those selected for the final phase.

The process will be recorded to create a docuseries explaining from the selection of the players and the accompaniment until reaching the different teams of Liga F and First Federation.
