Kostomarov made a new appeal to fans

Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov thanked subscribers for their support

The 2006 Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov made a new appeal to his fans on his Telegram channel.

The athlete greeted the subscribers and thanked them for their support and good wishes. “It is very inspiring, helps to fight and move on,” he wrote.

On July 6, 46-year-old Kostomarov was discharged from the clinic. The skater posted a video saying goodbye to the hospital staff and thanking the doctors for saving his life.

The skater was hospitalized on January 10 with pneumonia and flu. Due to the prolonged connection to the apparatus for saturating the blood with oxygen and the ventilator, tissue began to die off. Doctors amputated both feet of the figure skater, then the shins of both legs, the entire right hand and several fingers of the left.
