So far, the causes that motivated Charles to commit infanticide are unknown. However, it transpired that he had been abusing the victim since November and his mother allowed it and even hid it in his house when there was an arrest warrant against him, according to the police.
This Wednesday, September 21, Ziccarelli announced that the father is accused of murder, criminal manslaughter, abuse of a corpse, unlawful restraint of a minor by a parent, strangulation, concealment of the death of a child and tampering with physical evidence.
Elien, the boy’s mother, is charged with aggravated assault on a victim under the age of 13, endangering a child, and hindering the arrest or prosecution of another person.
Charles is being held at the Westmoreland County Jail without bond and his wife is required to post $250,000 bond. (YO)
