The National Research and Development Agency of Chile (ANID) launched the National Doctorate Scholarship contest, academic year 2022, which aims to financially support doctoral studies in all areas of knowledge taught by Chilean universities, according to the National Program of Scholarships and Educational Loans (Pronabec) of the Ministry of Education (Minedu).
The National Doctorate Scholarship, funded by the Advanced Human Capital Training Program and the Organization of American States (OAS), seeks to contribute to enhancing the profile of professionals in the region.
Pronabec indicates that the programs will be taught in more than twenty Chilean universities for a maximum period of four years.
The benefits of the scholarship include maintenance, tuition, allowance for each child under 18 years of age equivalent to 5% of the scholarship holder’s monthly support (if applicable) and health insurance.
Likewise, in a complementary manner, financial support will be provided to obtain the academic degree of doctor, according to the rules of the contest.
Requirements to participate
Academic degree of bachelor (a), professional title or its equivalent.
Accredit academic excellence.
Being in the formal application process, admitted or having the quality of a regular student in a doctoral program accredited by the National Accreditation Commission (CNA) and taught by a Chilean university.
Have a letter of recommendation.

As these are international cooperation scholarships, Pronabec is not part of the selection or allocation processes.
