Tourists entering the UK will face additional costs in the near future. The country will introduce new entry rules, and with them will come a fee for entering the country’s territory.

The Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will be an essential document for citizens who want to travel to the country as tourists. It is already known that the EU will also introduce a similar requirement for British .

Great Britain. How much does an ETA card cost?

The obligation to obtain an ETA card has not yet been implemented, but it will soon change. EU tourists are expected to pay an additional fee in 2024 to obtain this document. You will have to pay 10 pounds for the Electronic Travel Authorization, i.e. approx. PLN 50. The card will be valid for two years (for comparison – tourists from the UK entering the European Union will have to pay 7 euros, and the EU card will be valid for three years). From November 15, 2023, the Electronic Travel Authorization will be mandatory when entering the UK for Qatari nationals. On February 22, 2024, other countries (Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates) will have to adapt to the new entry rules. The list will be expanded over time.

An ETA will not be required for people who hold: a British or Irish passport, a visa or permission to stay, work or study in the UK. To obtain the document, you will need to apply in the UK ETA application or via the gov.uk website. Every traveler will have to obtain their own ETA card, this also applies to children. It will take up to three working days for the decision to issue the document (or longer in the case of additional checks). .
