Andalusia seeks opportunities in hotel projects in Colombia and Peru

The Spanish region of Andalusia is looking for business opportunities in hotel projects in Colombia and Peru, markets that expect investments worth more than 500 million euros (US$536 million) in this sector in the coming years.

To this end, the Andalusian regional government has organized a meeting with six brands from this Spanish autonomous community and various agents from these countries.

The commercial agenda, which has been developed in several Andalusian provinces, has included thirty business interviews with the Contract channel brands, to publicize the capabilities of companies in the sector in the American continent.

The international promotion action, organized by Andalusia TRADEis part of the ‘Contract Ambassadors in Latin America 2023’ program, promoted by Andalucía TRADE to identify business opportunities in several of the markets with the highest growth forecasts in this industry, the Junta de Andalucía (regional government) has reported.

In the case of Colombiait has been taken into account that between 2018 and 2019 62 hotels have been opened and the government plans to receive investments to open another 43 in the coming years.

Furthermore, the government of Peru It plans to award around 19 hotel projects worth 578 million euros during 2023, according to data from the country’s Private Investment Promotion Agency (Proinversión).

The Andalusian firms, dedicated to architecture, construction, interior design and home textile equipment, have held meetings with operators from Colombia and Peru, while international buyers have visited their main projects in an extensive work tour to establish synergies and carry out future commercial collaborations.

The six Andalusian firms that have participated in the event come from Jaen (Alvic and Muesco Group); Malaga (The-Waller Unique); Cadiz (Plus Cover); and Cordova (Mannpier-Tapizados Priego and Supratex).
