Midagri approves financing for the trade of agricultural products with credits of up to S/40,000

The owner of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), Nelly Paredes del Castillo, reported the approval of a program of financing credits for the commercialization of products, for small and medium producers. Likewise, the loan lines will reach up to S/40,000 and will have an effective rate of 3.5% per year.

“From the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI), we have approved a financing program to improve the conditions of commercialization of agricultural products to serve small and medium producers, that will have lines of credit of up to S/40,000 and an effective annual rate of 3.5%”, Walls maintained.

The program aims to allow farmers store your non-perishable products under custody in certain strategic places and “have it stored for up to a period of 12 months, which will generate a great opportunity for them to significantly improve marketing conditions and create an economy of scale,” he noted.

Along these lines, direct financing will also be provided as post-harvest working capital, which will guarantee the competitiveness of some agricultural crops.

“It will be a program that will have a greater demand from the television channels. cotton, coffee, cocoa, olives and others, whose products they can be stored in times of low prices and, when there are better prices, they will be able to place them and obtain higher income”, indicated the minister.

How will program funding be awarded?

The program offers a term of 12 months and a maximum amount of credit of S/40,000.00, all subject to the qualification of the entity. It should be noted that the resources will be provided by the AGROPERÚ fund.

Users may have a security interest represented by the stored agricultural product. This must be signed by the company that guards the product as depository and, by the farmer, as owner of the product, both with a legalized signature.
