Eurovision 2023. Where to watch? Broadcast on TV and the Internet

In 2023, the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is already taking place, and although in 2022 the Kalush Orchestra representing Ukraine won, the event was organized in Great Britain due to the ongoing war. The first of the two semi-finals will take place on May 9. The event will be available both on television and on the Internet.

has been organized since 1956 and in 2015 it was entered in the Guinness Book of Records as “the longest broadcast annual music competition in history”. It is hardly surprising, because it is also one of the most watched international non-sporting events in the world – it is estimated that the viewership of the competition is between 100 and 600 million viewers every year, and not only in Europe.

Where and when can you watch Eurovision 2023?

This year’s edition is attended by representatives of 37 different countries. In the finals, the representatives of the country that won the previous edition and the countries that are part of the so-called “Big Five” i.e. Germany, Spain, France, Italy and Great Britain are guaranteed places – these pay the highest membership fees for the organizer of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) . As a rule, the semi-finals are held on the Tuesday and Thursday preceding the Saturday final. For the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, these concerts will be held sequentially May 9, 11 and 13.

The broadcast for both semi-finals and the final starts every time at 21:00. In Poland, you can watch the event on air TVP1, and also on official Eurovision channel on YouTube. A list of foreign TV stations that will broadcast the competition is also available.

Eurovision 2023. When will the Polish representative perform?

Blanka representing Poland with the song “Solo” will perform in the second semi-final. The first will feature candidates from Serbia, Latvia, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Croatia, Malta, Sweden, Moldova, Switzerland, Israel, the Netherlands, Finland, Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic. Blance will face representatives from Armenia, Cyprus, Romania, Denmark, Belgium, Iceland, Greece, Estonia, Albania, Australia, Austria, Lithuania, San Marino, Slovenia and Georgia.

The European Broadcasting Union conducted a thorough analysis, on the basis of which it was decided that, for security reasons, this year’s edition of the competition will be organized by Great Britain on behalf of Ukrainian television. This is also how the concerts will take place at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool – the motto of this year’s edition is “United by Music”. North Macedonia will not be represented this year.
