The US authorities have identified the attacker who has shot dead at least eight people in a mall from Dallas, Texas, as Mauricio García, a 33-year-old man and alleged neo-nazi sympathizer.

The attacker had several accounts on social networks and seemed to be attracted to the neo-Nazi and white supremacist contentand wore a chest patch with the initials of an alleged Nazi group, but officials have stressed that it is too early to conclude that this is the cause of the attack.

Garcia opened fire this Saturday at several people in a shopping center in the small suburb of Allen, before being shot dead by a police officer. In the attack he killed eight people and injured another seven, including minors.

Biden and Harris condemn the massacre
