Biden and Harris condemn the massacre
The Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harriswhich has conveyed its condolences to the families of the victims, has remarked that the Biden Administration “will continue to support federal, state and local law enforcement in their investigations.”
“Yesterday, Allen, Texas was rocked by a senseless mass shooting at a shopping center, one of too many communities affected by gun violence,” Harris said, according to a White House statement. Harris has lamented that practical steps are not being taken, despite the fact that the solutions are known and the American people would support them without division, he has stated.
“While much we still don’t know about this attack, here’s what we do know: all Americans deserve to be safe from gun violence. But they are not,” he added.
Hours before, the president Joe Biden ordered that the flags of the entire country fly at half mast on May 11 in tribute to the victims. Biden recalled that the attacker, dressed in tactical clothing and armed with an AR-15 type rifle shot “innocent people” in a mall.
