Representatives of Russia and Ukraine have come to blows during the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) summit held this Thursday in Ankara, Turkey, where a Ukrainian delegate has come to beating a member of the Russian delegation.

It happened in the corridors of the building where the meeting of the Organization was taking place, after the Russian snatched the Ukrainian flag from him to prevent him from showing it during a video call interview with the head of the Russian delegation.

The Ukrainian delegate himself, Olesandr Marikovsky, has published a video of the moment he hits the Russian delegate and recovers the flag on its Facebook page, along with the following message: “Foots off our flag, paws off Ukraine, Russian filth!”.

Previously, there was another scuffle when Ukrainian delegates staged a protestshouting and showing flags when the leader of the Russian delegation spoke before the assembly, a moment picked up by the Turkish news agency Anadolu in the tweet below these lines.

After what happened, the president of the Turkish Parliament, Mustafa Sentop, has asserted that “the provocative and physically offensive actions of some members of the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation can never be accepted” and has condemned what he has described as “behavior that disrupts the peaceful environment that Türkiye is trying to establish”.

While the representatives of the 13 BSEC countries met, Russia attacked Kyiv again with drones on the afternoon of this Thursday.
