Israel begins vaccinating children between 5 and 11 against COVID-19

The vaccination campaign for minors between the ages of five and eleven began one day earlier than planned.

The Israeli health authorities have reported this Monday that they have begun to vaccinate children between the ages of five and eleven against the coronavirus old.

Although the campaign for this age group was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, health workers have already begun to supply the vaccines, according to information from the newspaper The Times of Israel.

This same Monday, the pharmaceutical company Pfizer and the biotechnology company BioNTech have affirmed that the vaccine is 100% effective for children between the ages of 12 and 15.

The data collected support that the vaccine is effective for these minors four months after the second dose is given. In addition, no serious health problems have been reported from the vaccine.
