The United States prevented a massive Ukrainian attack on Russia. This is revealed by the new leaks from ‘The Washington Post’. The Kyiv Intelligence plan was to launch a maritime offensive on Russian territory. In this way they intended to deliver a coup and a moral message on the first anniversary of the war. But two days before February 24, Washington reportedly asked Kyiv to call off the attack.
According to the American newspaper, Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the country’s military intelligence, called for massive attacks to be prepared. They even went so far as to plan an attack on the port city of Novorossiysk, on the Black Sea. But Washington was aware of these plans and to avoid an aggressive response from Russia, on February 22 US intelligence intervened and called off the attackss.
It is not the first time that an already planned attack by Ukraine has been called off. In fact, Ukrainian military intelligence last winter saw attacks against Russian troops and mercenaries from the Wagner group in Syria, before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky halted those plans. This information was also uncovered by the leaked documents to which ‘The Washington Post’ had access.
All of this information comes out of the leaked Pentagon documents. The perpetrator is a 21-year-old who had been in the Massachusetts National Guard for just over three years. His name is Jack Teixeira and he was arrested for one of the biggest leaks in history.
